Al Jones

Al has wanted to be an architect since he was five. Al began his career in the profession at Miss. State University before he transferred to the L.S.U School of Architecture. His tenacity, creativity and talent landed him a coveted job with the legendary A. Hays Town in his early 20s. That job gave rise to a life-long friendship and mentorship. Today, after nearly 37 years in his own practice, Al’s work can be seen across the South and is known for the highest standards of design, craftsmanship, materials and livability. His innate talent and years of experience is evident in his designs – an Al Jones home simply stands out for being honest, authentic and remarkable in its design. Al is a licensed AIA architect and has been married to his wife Mary Gayden for 43 years. The two have four children and nine grandchildren.
